Shooting continues. Weather worsens. Jackassery remains.

Day 13 – Oct 16

More night shooting. It’s now starting to get cold at night. The writer was smart and wrote in a campfire. It was a short evening that went a lot like this:

Day 14 – Oct 17

The weather is really starting to change. Cold mornings. Leaves falling. Less and less greenery. We aren’t sure how much longer we can fool ourselves into thinking this will not be noticeable on film. On the other hand, we don’t have a lot of choice. We would like to get most of what we need on Rich’s land done before it is too late.

We started with Tyler shooting some extra stuff that was not in the script, per se.  He’s become obsessed with the corn field at the bottom of the property for some time now, and really wants to fit it into the film somehow. It is reference briefly in the opening scene of the movie, but nothing major. I have a feeling that will change as I watch him filming Max and Jory for a good 30+ minutes.

We then moved on to shooting more of the dialog/walking sequences, despite missing a third of our “expedition” team. It was good to do dialog again. Those days, at least from my actor perspective, move much quicker and seem less stressful.

We finished with some more scenes at the campground, including one of the more dramatic scenes between Max and myself. I haven’t seen the footage yet, but it felt good. On the other hand, if it turns out that I suck acting ass, well then it’s the director’s fault…

Day 15 – Oct 18

This day was productive as all hell. We did action. We did dialog. We did stunts. We were asses.
